Pomme Tournament – 2nd of the 2022-2023 Season

(October 8, 2022)

October greeted us with unusually hi temps all week and then presented us with a drastic cold front. With temps starting out around 39 degrees Saturday it was a chilly start to the day for the 11 anglers fishing Pomme. The baits reported to work the best were a chappo and crankbaits with multiple fish just slapping at them and multiple jump offs occurring. Three anglers presented limits to the scales Roger, Jay and Kyle, 2 fish were weighed for big bass of the day. Kyle had a 4.72 and he was edged out by Jays 5.10 hawg. The big bag of the tournament was Kyle at 11.10, next was Jay with 9.05, 3rd was Roger with 4.83. Timmy brought 3 fish in for 3.94, the brothers Selsor had a 2 fish duel that Mitch won with 2.77 and Chris had 2.69, Vince had a single that weighed2.26 and Steve had 1 at 1.76. Art and Freddie struggled with a zero for the day.

We had a little excitement on Saturday as Freddie had some issues and fell out of Kyle’s boat. With Kyle keeping a cool head and remaining calm he recovered Freddie and got him back in the boat and to the ramp to meet an ambulance. Freddie is doing fine with a few scrapes and bruises, he did lose his glasses but his fishing rod was safe as he held on to it. A BIG Thank You to Kyle for keeping calm and taking good care of Freddie. He is home and according to his wife “he is the same old Fred.  We are glad Freddie is alright and want to say Thanks to Kyle.

(September 25, 2022)

It is a very sad day for all member of Lostcreek Bass Club, Gaylen Davis passed away. For the last 45 years Gaylen has been a member of Lostcreek. He was the longest member we have ever had and probably ever will have. He will be greatly missed by all members and those that got the pleasure of knowing and fishing with him. We all have lost a friend, a better fisherman, and a great person.

Donation may be made to St Jude in memory of Gaylen.
